The Mycobacterium abscessus MLST scheme uses internal fragments of the following housekeeping genes:

PCR conditions

Conditions for PCR amplification are 5 min at 94°C followed by 30 cycles of 94°C for 1 min, 58°C for 1 min and 72°C for 1 min with a final extension step at 72°C for 10 min.
