This website provides access to genomic data and genotypic definitions for isolates of the K. pneumoniae species complex (also called K. pneumoniae sensu lato, i.e., including K. pneumoniae, K. quasipneumoniae, K. variicola and related taxa) based on Multilocus Sequence Typing (MLST), core genome MLST (cgMLST), ribosomal MLST (rMLST), capsular typing (wzc and wzi sequencing) and MLST of virulence gene clusters. Please see references for more details. Note that this database is the primary source of data for the above genotypic and allelic definitions, as curated data are first imported here. Consequently, this database may be more up to date than external databases that download and provide our curated data on other platforms.
The nomenclature of beta-lactamases OKP, LEN and OXY and virulence schemes (Aerobactin, Colibactin, Yersiniabactin, Salmochelin, rmp locus) are also curated and maintained within this database and can be accessed through the download page, section beta-lactamases, AbST, CbST, YbST, SmST and RmST.
